Right arrowAdobe® Flash® is the industry-leading effect for enhancing websites and giving them a sense of movement and depth. We've placed third-party ads on this page to illustrate the point. Flash runs on all platforms and is compatible with all browsers.

Common uses for Flash include:

  • banners
  • specific offers
  • third-party advertisements

Generally the banner area is used to bring attention to general services and highlighted sale items a company wishes to spotlight; while Flash elements in the column area are more geared to increasing awareness of a specific feature on the page the viewer is on — a proven marketing method that'll get the attention of your site's visitors.

One thing to consider —
Some clients use Flash on their websites extensively, while others don't. For example, one of our clients in Kansas avoids it altogether because the majority of their visitors are remarkably still using modems to connect to the Internet. We know — that was a shock for us to learn, as well. Your market, in terms of Internet access, should dictate the amount of Flash on your site; so, if you live in a metro area where the masses have broadband access, we invite you to Flash everyone. But if not, keep your website's coat on and use it judiciously.
